PROGRAM

Day 1 - arrival

Transfer by bus from Lyon Saint Exupery Airport to the hotel.

Check-in and installation – Welcome cocktail
A glass of Champagne and a glass of fruit juice or a glass of soda
Mineral Water - Perrier, Vittel / Salt mixture and cheese stick

Day 2 - Lyon

Breakfast

In the morning – A general trip in Lyon a part of UNESCO world heritage
The historical site of Lyon was selected by UNESCO as World Heritage. The circuit is an invitation to explore 2,000 years of the city’s history. From the hill of Fourvière, down to Old Lyon, across to the Presqu’île and up to the Croix-Rousse hill – an ideal solution for seeing Lyon’s emblematic buildings and discovering its history from Roman times through to the present day. The coach-trip includes several stops for walks, especially in Old Lyon for visiting the “traboules” and its narrow pedestrian streets.

Day 3 - Beaujolais

Breakfast

In the morning
Visit to the Hameau Duboeuf, original and interactive « oenopark » created by the famous wine merchant Georges Duboeuf. The visitor discovers the wines and vineyard history over 30,000 sqm and 25 exhibition rooms. From spring to autumn, stroll in the wonderful garden with wine aromas. Wine tasting at the end of the visit in the room with an impressive barrel organ.

Day 4 - Cheverny and Blois

Guided tour Cheverny’s Castle (Château de Cheverny)
The Château de Cheverny is a stately estate and has been in the same family for more than six centuries. Cheverny has always been lived in and every generation has made an effort to maintain and to embellish it with passion. Since 1922 Cheverny is open to the public. Thus the visitor can appreciate the splendor and the delight of life in a chateau. The owners invite you to discover this phantastic and vivid heritage: from the botanical park to the magnificent inside of the château, from the kennels to Tintin’s exposition and from the gardens to the forest.

Wine tasting in Cour-Cheverny wines Club
Displays all wines of local winegrowers. More than 100 references of red, white and pink wines of controlled origin are to be tasted in this unique place. Allows an original tasting with a very innovative technique; self-service system with electronic chip under the stem.

Light and sound show – Blois’s Castle
The voices of Robert Hossein, Pierre Arditi, Fabrice Luchini recount the tales of love, drama, and mystery that occurred at the château according to a script written by the historian Alain Decaux. The show is unique in Europe. The original musical score is by Eric Demarsan and the stage production by André Blanc.

Day 5 – Chambord and Clos Lucé

Day 6 - Tours
