This program from Lyon will take you on the way to Provence through the Rhône Valley, the emblematic axis of a territory swept by the Mistral which chases away the clouds and makes the sunshine generously. The river has forged the identity of the region, the lines of its landscapes and the personality of its wines. The AOC Côtes du Rhône and 8 renowned crus make its reputation. You will discover remarkable sites and live incredible experiences.

PROGRAM

Day 1 - Lyon, Renaissance UNESCO heritage and gastronomic capital.

Live a food tour punctuated by tasting breaks at local craftsmen.


A unique gourmet experience by combining cultural visit and local products from Place Bellecour, through les Halles and le Vieux Lyon.
Diner in Vieux Lyon, at the foot of the Fourvière hill, at the Bouchon Les Lyonnais, a real institution in a typical, friendly, and convivial setting.

Day 2 – Côte-Rôtie region and the Pilat Regional Nature Park

Head to the legendary Côte-Rôtie region and the Pilat Regional Nature

Park for a half-day of discovery « wine and cheese »! Meet a passionate producer, he will present his farm and introduce you to the famous Rigotte de Condrieu AOP, a small goat’s cheese with a subtle and delicate taste!
Then take a tour of the vineyards and you will understand the work of the winemaker. It is only during the tasting that you will appreciate all the aromatic richness of these great wines, Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Saint-Joseph will put your taste buds on fire!

Lunch on the banks of the Rhone, at the Beau Rivage restaurant in Condrieu, a charming and high-quality establishment.
Continue South to Tain l’Hermitage. Looking for an original, fun, and sporty ride? Discover the vineyards around Tain-l’Hermitage on an all-terrain electric scooter! Return to the Cave de Tain for a commented tasting: Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage and Saint-Joseph wines.
Diner at Marius Bistrot and overnight at Hotel Fac & Spera **** in Tain l’Hermitage.


Day 3 - Valence, on the way to Provence

Valence, on the way to Provence and a must-see gourmet stopover!


Welcome to Valence, “where my heart beats, where my cooking is built day after day”. Anne-Sophie PIC
Guided tour of Valence passing by its producer’s market where you will find exclusively products from the region.
Lunch at the “Bistrot André” a place of history and stories
Then, enjoy a 3-hour cooking class in the brand-new school: “Scook d’Anne-Sophie”, a contemporary and warm universe around the Chef’s stove.

Day 4 – the Drome Provençale

Travelling through the harmonious geometry of the Drôme Provençale landscape is a real treat!
What a pleasure it is to be intoxicated by the scents of summer as you follow the blue horizon of the lavender fields, to gaze at the silvery lines of the olive groves, the sumptuous olive trees that produce a highly sought-after AOC oil.

Enjoy a remarkable experience at the wine university of Suze la Rousse. Let your creative talents express themselves and compose your own cuvée. Guided by an oenologist, you will be able to assemble and imagine an ideal cuvée before customizing its packaging. A beautiful alchemy of pleasures for a unique wine.

Lunch at the restaurant « d’un gout à l’autre » in Nyons.
Learn about the Nyons Olive at the Rocheville family Estate where they cultivate the exceptional lands for over 5 generations. Discovery the charming village of Grignan and its majesties Renaissance Castle.
Diner and overnight at Chapouton Farm **** in Grignan.


Day 5 – Ardèche Gateway

Ardèche Gateway, between deep canyons, caves, and preserved areas, between chestnut trees, vineyards and perched villages, the Ardèche is at once natural, rural, authentic and welcoming.


Live a remarquable experience at la Grotte Saint-Marcel. When speleology mets oenology, a unique activity in France. Accompanied by a caving guide and a guide specialised in wine tasting, visitors go caving in the galleries of the Saint-Marcel cave (undeveloped part) and then carry out a sensory tasting of 3 wines produced in the commune of Saint-Marcel d’Ardèche in total darkness.

Lunch at the restaurant. A meal inspired by the Ardèche region of course.
Discovery the must-see Grotte Chauvet 2. The largest decorated cave replica in the world.
Diner and night at charming Hotel Villa Walbaum**** in Vallon-Pont d’Arc.


Day 6 - You leave the authentic Ardèche via the spectacular canyons to reach Montelimar.

Enjoy a final gourmet visit to discover the Nougat, the city’s iconic specialty at the oldest factory still in operation.
